About our Administrators

Mrs. Keysha King, Principal

Dr. Keysha King, Principal

I am excited and honored to work with the Hunt Elementary School family as the Principal. I am increasingly grateful to be surrounded by such a motivated, intelligent, caring, and supportive school family and community.

I’m entering my 21st year in the field of education. I received my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Special Education and my Specialist degree in Educational Leadership all from Georgia College & State University.

My husband, Joey, and I are the proud parents of two beautiful daughters, Kenadie and Kendyl and a fur baby named Kyla.  As a family, we LOVE sports….especially the Georgia Bulldogs. GO DAWGS!! In my spare time I enjoy traveling, reading, shopping, and spending time with my family!

As your Principal, I’m committed to the needs of every individual who walks through our doors-staff, parents, students, and community members. Through a close, collegial partnership with everyone associated with HES, I am confident that we can continually make our school a better place to learn and grow by creating a safe, nurturing environment where students are challenged to become leaders and lifelong learners. About Me:

I have been in education for twelve years. My career started as a Health and Physical Education teacher at Bloomfield Middle School in Bibb County. While there, I served as the athletic director and head coach for football, baseball, and wrestling. In 2014, the school merged with Ballard-Hudson middle school, where I would continue in my same roles. I left Ballard-Hudson in  2017 to become a special education teacher inside the general  curriculum at Howard High School. In 2019, I was named the  department chair and lead teacher for SPED at Howard.  Additionally, during this time, I obtained my master’s degree in curriculum and instruction and my tier 1 leadership add-on  through Valdosta State University. The 2021-2022 year was my  first year in Administration where I served as Dean of Students at  Ballard Hudson Middle school.

I am married to Laura, and we have two children (JD-5 and Ava 3). We live in Fort Valley, and both of our families reside in Peach County.

I am a graduate of THE Peach County High School, Class of 2005.  I am excited to return to Trojan Nation as an Assistant Principal at THE Hunt Elementary School. I look forward to learning,  growing alongside each of you as we work together in  continuous school improvement and providing a learning culture  conducive to high academic achievement for our students.

GO TROJANS and GO DAWGS!

Sincerely,  Daniel Peavy
